This report projects renewable energy trends to 2035 and provides insights into the demand-side, supply-side and policy factors affecting renewable energy adoption across the globe. According to the authors' analysis, electricity generation from renewable sources nearly triples from 2010 to 2035, reaching 31% of total generation. OECD countries account for 48% of the total investment in renewables during that time, focusing mainly on wind and solar PV, while non-OECD countries invest primarily in hydropoer and wind.
