The objective of the Adaptable Program Lending for West Africa Agricultural Productivity Program Project for Africa is to generate and accelerate the adoption of improved technologies in the participating countries' agricultural commodity top-priority areas that are aligned with the sub region's top agricultural commodity priorities, as outlined in the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS). The restructuring entails a reallocation of project proceeds as follows: works under Part 2.1 and 3.3 (ii) of the project should be increased from 11.11 percent to 15.56 percent. Goods, Consultants services, training, study tours, workshop and operational costs: under part one, 3.2, 3.3 and 4 of the project should be increased from 50 percent to 64.44 percent. Goods, Consultants services, training, study tours, workshop and operational costs: under part two of the project should be decreased from 16.67 percent to 6.67 percent. Small grants under part 2.3 of the project should be maintained at 11.11 percent grants under Part 3.1 of the project should be decreased from 11.11percent to 2.22 percent. The reallocation will not affect the normal implementation of each of the projectÂ’s components. It will not have a negative effect on the PDO. The reallocation will rather help to achieve the PDO more quickly. The client has prepared a note in this regard which is enclosed to the reallocation package.
