This book describes how water, energy and food are interlinked co-dependent components of security and ranked by the World Economic Forum as a key global risk. The book briefly explains the security framework of IISD, which enables a place-based analysis of four main components that focus the obvious and underlying factors affecting a community's ability to be water, energy and food secure: access, availability, supporting resources and supporting policies. The book’s sat-Mining tool facilitates the operationalization of this framework in the context of mining.
