More than 20 organisations in the Americas have come together to increase the technical understanding and knowledge of how to best adapt to climate change, establishing a platform to share water-based adaptation experiences. By building upon recommendations and detailing how they are being implemented, this document aims to highlight what steps the Americas region is taking to advance with the implementation of adaptation measures in the water domain. The progress being made is analysed through three crosscutting aspects: (i) good governance and institutional arrangements, (ii) financing water for all, and (iii) enabling environments with a focus on strengthening capacities to increase resilience and reduce vulnerability.
