Vulnerability and capacity assessment report the vulnerability of water resources to climate change in the North Stann Creek Watershed in Belize

This report describes the climate change impacts already detected in Belize, such as warmer daytime and night time temperatures and decreasing trends in rainfall. It highlights that adverse impacts of climate change on the health, agriculture and tourism sectors have also been observed. The report argues that these negative impacts and their consequences are indicative of increasing vulnerabilities to climate variability and change.

This report is the culmination of an investigation of the vulnerabilities of the water resources of the North Stann Creek Watershed (NSCW) to climate variability and climate change. The investigation was conducted as a pilot to test the validity and replicability of the methodologies and at the same time provide some insight into the current vulnerabilities and the possible trends in the future vulnerabilities.
