This training module is a result of the work undertaken by the 'Toward Equity' project-World Conservation Union/Arias Foundation and is part of a series. It is intended to be used by specialists involved in training facilitation activities and focuses on the analysis of power as an inequality factor and on its implications in rural development initiatives. Its goal is to ensure that projects achieve greater equity with regard to participation of women and men in the decision-making process as well as in accessing services, goods and resources. Modules cover every stage of the project cycle, including proposal design, participatory appraisals, planning, monitoring and evaluation, participation and empowerment, systematisation, indicators and equitable project administration and management. Participatory approaches are used throughout the manual.
