This report describes how member states in the United Nations Economic Commission (UNECE) for Europe have different energy situations and vary in their potential for and progress in renewable energy and energy efficiency. It presents 17 UNECE countries with the aim of establishing a data baseline and providing a general overview of their renewable energy situations. The report represents a comprehensive overview of the renewable energy infrastructure, industry, policy, regulations, market development and potential growth rates in the selected countries.
