This study assessed the impact of biofuel (Jatropha curcas) production on food production and its climate change mitigation potential in Ghana. It recommends that experimental research be carried out for appropriate policies that will make biofuel production a win-win venture for Ghana. It concludes that biofuel production in Ghana is an income generating venture with significant contribution to food security especially in the Northern Region of Ghana where farming is feasible for small holder farmers only in the raining season. At the national level, it is argued that biofuel projects will generate new industries, new technologies, new jobs and new markets.
