It analyses the current draft frameworks under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and United Nations post-2015 development framework processes. It aims to illustrate the importance of both processes and the need for them to eradicate poverty and promote sustainable lifestyles for a low-carbon world.
It concludes that there are substantial opportunities for mutual support towards many outcomes, and highlights where further agreements and ambition is required to accelerate progress towards a low-carbon, equitable and sustainable future.
