Transforming Electricity Consumers into Customers: Case Study of Slum Electrification and Loss Reduction in Sao Paulo, Brazil

This publication reports on a case study performed to bring metered electrical services to a slum in Brazil. The authors report on the entire process, results, performance, and lessons in sustainability and ability to reproduce viable results. The success of this project has implications for other cities, utilities, and slums that face the same issues, according to the authors.
