Based on a forerunner project of the International Climate Initiative (IKI) the project systemically builds up capacity and knowledge of national political decision makers and persons responsible for power saving and energy cleansing in the housing sector on provincial and city level. At the request of the Ministry of Housing Urban and Rural Development (MoHURD) the concepts will in particular incorporate German know-how and technology knowledge. Furthermore the inclusion of the housing sector into an emission trading system as a potential funding source for energy cleansing of houses will be especially focused. A “training of the trainers”-approach will be applied in collaboration with advanced training institutions for the propagation and sustainability of the capacity building measures.
