This report provides an overview of an international project centered on Chinese industrial development zones (IDZs) to identify key policy trends that will affect competitiveness and provide insight to help better manage the transition to a low-carbon, resource-efficient economy. The authors focus on how to identify the low-carbon drivers of IDZs, and they provide an overview of research results, policy trends and drivers of low-carbon development in IDZs and priority areas for action.
