The development objective of the Sustainable Management of Natural Resources and Climate Change Project is to support Uruguay’s efforts to promote farmer adoption of improved environmentally sustainable agricultural and livestock practices that are climate smart. The project development objective or PDO remains unchanged and there is no substantial modification to project design and components. The changes to the results framework, specifically the indicators and targets for the PDO and for the project components, serve to improve the results-capture, i.e. to more accurately monitor the project’s achievements (outputs and outcomes). The revision was elaborated by the Ministry of Livestock, Agriculture and Fisheries, or MGAP and the Bank team during the April and October 2013 missions. The new results framework was jointly designed by the Project Management Unit, or UGP and the Bank team during a mission in October 2013, based on a methodology following the guidance of the Independent Evaluation Group, or IEG-supported International Program for Development Evaluation Training (IPDET).
