This book focus on the development challenges resulting from environmental health risks in Sindh, Pakistan.

It highlights that, as well as the cost to human life and livelihoods, the economic costs are equivalent to 10 per cent of Sindh’s Gross Domestic Product, pointing out that climate change is likely to exacerbate these challenges.

The book calls for an urgent response to Sindh’s environmental and climate change problems. And highlights a number of feasible interventions which could be carried out to address the categories of environmental degradation that have the highest impacts on Sindh’s population. It argues that addressing these challenges also calls for targeted institutional strengthening and policy improvements.
