This briefing document lists the potential impacts of climate change of water supply and sanitation in Asian cities, which have been attributed to change in precipitation, change in ambient air and water temperatures, change in frequency and severity of extreme events and change in sea level rise and storm surges. Several adaptation measures have been proposed to mitigate the impacts of climate change on this sector; assessment and information needs are also highlighted.
