The bio-fuels study provides a comprehensive overview of the national potential and challenges facing bio-fuels in Kenya. The goal is to elucidate benefits and analyze viability, while also assessing possible challenges, such as economic feasibility, fiscal and regulatory limitations, and environmental and social impacts, including competition with food. The study highlights the potential of establishing a bio-fuels industry and analyzes the political and legal environment that will be required to promote the sustainable development of bio-fuels in Kenya. The study also provides a history and current status of bio-fuels in Kenya and a critical appraisal of the policy framework within which this sector must develop.
