The Programme of Research on Climate Change Vulnerability, Impacts and Adaptation (PROVIA) has led the development of a set of Research Priorities on vulnerability, impacts and adaptation in consultation with both experts and policymakers.

This report consists of 33 topics presented in three sections:
1. Support Policymaker Decisions
2. Systems and Regions
3. Emerging Topics

Each topic includes an explanation of why the research is needed as well as examples of specific activities which can respond to that need such as fostering technological innovation, optimizing the integration of remotely sensed and groundbased information.
