Emerging evidence and more hypothetical analysis suggests, that Green Growth can lead to poverty reduction, economic growth, reduced vulnerability to climate change and natural disasters, greater energy security, and more secure livelihoods for those directly dependent on the use of natural resources.

The literature on Green Growth is mostly quite recent and dominated by global andindustrialised country applications or context. The body of  work on definitions and the potential of Green Growth is larger than analysis of experience. Growth issues in low-income countries, and DFID priority countries, is mainly limited to questions of country strategy preparation.
