Renewables Readiness Assessments (RRAs) will allow International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) to identify and provide country-specific support and advice to participating countries. More broadly, RRAs will also generate the knowledge of good practice and the cooperation between countries that are essential to increasing deployment. The readiness assessment will help IRENA to provide assistance to countries in a targeted manner. Receiving one of the first RRAs—presented here by Senegal--is an important milestone for IRENA.
