The Central American Integration System (SICA) is conformed by Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and Panama presents its Regional Strategy on Climate Change.

The first chapter shows an overview of the dynamics that characterise climate change, the origin and basis of the phenomenon from a historical responsibility and its implications for life and development. The second chapter shows -based on climate scenarios and projections and general trends in the region- the problems and impacts for SICA member countries in the short-term and in the near future. The third chapter presents the responses by the region in its political-institutional framework, as well as strategic priorities and actions to address the current climate threats.
