This report surveys C-level executives in Australian companies participating in the Department of Resources, Energy, and Tourism’s Energy Efficiency Opportunities (EEO) Program. The report finds that the executives' key audiences with regard to energy efficiency are internal and that profit-driven motives are a key component of energy efficiency considerations. It also finds that energy efficiency is high on the agenda of executives participating in the program, but that they do not view energy efficiency as a strategic investment. As such, energy efficiency projects often struggle for capital.
