The EcoAdapt project, funded by the European Union, promotes an integrated work between science and civil society for the benefit of the ecosystem and its inhabitants into three territories in Latin America. EcoAdapt hopes to show that scientists working together with civil society organizations (CSOs) can help design strategies with strong social and technical basis for adaptation to climate change. CSOs provide knowledge through its work with the natural environment and populations, while researchers provide knowledge for its work in social and biophysical sciences. This job of combining different knowledge and generating new knowledge is the real challenge to try to address EcoAdapt populations of Jujuy Model Forest in Argentina, Bolivia and Alto Chiquitano Malleco in Chile. EcoAdapt 's experiences in creating adaptation plans will be evaluated for exposure in other places where it is important to the prevention of water-related conflicts, which may intensify due to climate change effects. To this end, EcoAdapt works at different levels using existing networks of organizations, strengthening and expanding them, so that the results are disseminated and shared and new ideas to be introduced into the project.
