This report presents the state of the arts for biofuels in Colombia. The paper describe and identifies the regulations and policy developed for the promotion of biofuels, the barriers confronted by this source of energy, it describes the most important energy chains and stakeholders of the sector, and makes some policy recommendations for economic, environmental and political sustainability.
