The authors of this report reviewed energy efficiency standards and labeling programs in China, the European Commission, India, Japan and the United States, focusing on residential, commercial and industrial equipment. After their review, the authors identify products with the greatest potential for global harmonization and demonstrate how much CO2 and energy could be saved if standards were harmonized.
