This report outlines the types and extent of remote monitoring, control and payment systems used on mini-grids in Nepal, and some of their challenges. Four case studies are presented: the AEPC remote monitoring system; Gham Power/Spark Meter, Renewable World/Bit Harvester; Sarjal Urja. Analysis of the characteristics and challenges of these four case studies is used to inform recommendations for system design and data use.
