The U.K. National Renewable Energy Action Plan (NREAP) is based on a template set by the European Commission, which asks for the trajectory and measures that will enable the United Kingdom to reach its target for 15 per cent of energy consumption in 2020 to be from renewable sources. The 'lead scenario' set out in the U.K. NREAP demonstrates that it is possible to achieve the 15 per cent target and provides one view of the technology mix in 2020.
