In this paper, we describe an innovative application of the data provided b) the 1994 Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) methodology for calculation of methane emissions from cattle. Two models for cattle population are described; one model is based on human population and the other also includes per capita GNP. The first mode was used to forecast herd size up to yea 2025 using a no-change scenario. Connections to other land uses and their related greenhouse gas emissions were highlighted
