In July 2009, the Korean government announced a “National Strategy for Green Growth” up to 2050, which includes mitigating climate change, creating new engines for economic growth, and improving the quality of life. This paper analyzes policies suggested to implement those strategies. Policy recommendations include adding onto existing energy efficiency initiatives in the country as well as increasing the amount of renewables in the energy portfolio.
