In this study a focus has been made to go beyond the previous approaches and an integrated approach for Renewable Energy Potential assessment has been made at the district level, considering the availability of the waste land, water potential, existing electrical transmission network, gas grid network etc. The broad objective of the study is to carry out the integrated renewable energy potential assessment for the state of Gujarat and to develop a renewable energy atlas which can give user a bird"s eye view of relative potential of these renewable energy sources at the district level in coordination with existing network of electrical transmission, gas grid network, and Narmada water canal network.
