This report has been prepared and published by the World Bank, under Andhra Pradesh Drought Adaptation Initiative (APDAI). The present document highlights how well APDAI contributed agricultural sector to the economic GDP of Andhra Pradesh in particular and India as a whole. Technical challenges were defined in cropping and farming systems for better drought resilience. The report identifies the expected negative and positive impacts of climate variability and change. It focuses on adaptation strategies for dry lands in particular. Finally leaves a space for all the stakeholders and governments to rethink for innovative initiatives and policy implementations.
