In this publication, the International Energy Agency (IEA) presents 25 energy efficiency recommendations which, if implemented, could reduce carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions by 8.2 gigatons by 2030. This book provides details on the progress of each country in meeting energy efficiency policies and finds that, overall, they are falling short. About half of IEA countries have policies in place to encourage promotion of energy efficiency by utilities, but many tools for promoting energy efficiency could be utilised more effectively.
