This Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations report, a contribution to the Bioenergy and Food Security Criteria and Indicators (BEFSCI) project, focuses on the food security impacts of bioenergy production. The report finds that bioenergy development impacts food security through four main channels: availability, access, utilization, and stability. These impacts can be both positive and negative. The report provides a set of indicators by which authorities, policymakers, and industry experts can assess the impacts of bioenergy development on food security.
