This case study provides an overview of biogas digestion energy deployment programs in Wisconsin, which were funded by grants from the U.S. Department of Agriculture via the Section 9006 Renewable Energy/Energy Efficiency Program. It discusses the successful steps taken by stakeholders to ensure interconnection of biogas digesters with the grid and the higher rates paid for their electricity. The grants facilitated the deployment of 5 MW of electricity from this renewable source.
