This report, which is the result of a joint effort of a team of members from the European Benchmarking Task Force (EBTF), presents assumptions and parameters for carbon capture and sequestration (CCS) projects from the Common Framework Definition Document as well as three technical study cases of power plants with and without CCS. The report includes new material related to the costs and economics of CCS. The performance of new cycles proposed within the three projects should be compared and referred to the performance of these three cases: an advanced supercritical pulverized coal plant, an integrated gasification combined cycle (IGCC) plant, and a natural gas combined cycle plant.
