The main goal of this document is to describe the basis of performing a life-cycle analysis (LCA) of the photovoltaic systems. A derived goal of this study is to gain experience in using the LCA-framework and the research protocol described earlier and to evaluate the usefulness of these instruments in helping to find and analyse bottlenecks and opportunities in the energy technologies.
