This webinar covers the basics of distributed generation, emphasizing renewable generation technologies and their benefits. It answers questions about applications of different technologies, financing and management of distributed generation systems, as well as the economic and social benefits of distributed generation. An example of ongoing EC-LEDS work on distributed generation in the Philippines is presented. A second case study from India is also presented, highlighting work being carried out under the U.S.-India Energy Dialogue. The case studies illustrate distributed generation on large and small scales, as well as infrastructure planning and management of generation systems.
