Energy Efficiency in Developing Countries for the Manufacturing Sector

This document summarizes in section 1 the findings from ODI research contributing to the UNIDO Industrial Development Report and of the recent literature. In section 2 it explains the results linking energy intensity and profitability for different countries. In the section 3 it briefly explain results about the relationship between innovation and energy intensity. Finally in section 4 it comments the findings about developing countries firms` barriers to invest in EE technology.
