This working paper compares the climate finance international donors report as delivered with what Tanzania's government records as received.
It argues that international publicly-sourced climate finance is not being consistently reported in Tanzania, partly because of the challenge of classifying such expenditure. The paper highlights that communication within the government administration, and between government and development partners, needs to be strengthened in order to secure strategic oversight of international climate finance in the country.
