This report describes India's pursuit of co-benefits as a way of reconciling development and climate imperatives that are well entrenched in Indian policy and academic circles. While global models provide strong evidence that climate mitigation outcomes, reduced air pollution and enhanced energy security strongly complement each other, the report explores the linkage between sustainable development and climate policy, and the potential for achieving multiple objectives simultaneously.
