In order to take full advantage of the The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, which provided $3.1 billion to states to support investments in energy efficiency and renewable energy technologies. Clean Energy States Alliance (CESA), a nonprofit coalition representing state clean energy programs across the country, has prepared a series of briefs to assist state energy offices in designing programs to make effective use of these federal and other available funds.
In this briefing paper, CESA provides an overview of the various renewable energy incentives offered in the United States. The paper also provides best practice recommendations and examples of states offering incentives for solar photovoltaic systems.
