This database provides harmonised energy savings potentials for each EU member state; Croatia, Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein; industry, transport, households and services. It indicates the main drivers used to estimate these potentials and presents the trends in some energy efficiency indicators that are associated to the different potentials. It aims to provide the commission with a tool to assess national energy efficiency action plans and to help identify the sectors in which the national savings targets established under the ESP (Energy Saving Potentials) Directive can be met most cost effectively.
