This study outlines the development of and current energy and electricity situation in Cuba. It covers the economic, social, environmental, and institutional dimensions of energy use within Cuba; the technologies available and their efficacy in production (including renewables and fossil fuels); energy access; policies for further energy development; and potentials and scenarios of the sector.
