The objective of the Umbrella Project is to support development of an international market mechanism for the new commodity known as Emission Reductions(ER), under the framework of the Kyoto protocol. There are two components to the project. The first component of the project is to increase the production of environmentally sustainable renewable energy; and the second component of the project is to develop the markets for high quality emission reductions.
