The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has recently completed intensive studies, focusing on natural gas and whether its carbon content is significantly lower than that of coal's as originally thought. This report looks at EPA's revisions in a life-cycle analysis (LCA) of both coal and natural gas, comparing the benefits and shortcomings of each.
