This study captures the results of a research KPMG- India carried out with business leaders to see how prepared firms in the country are to deal with the challenges of climate change.A total of around 70 business leaders at the CEO/CXO level were interviewed for this study. The study brings out some interesting findings: 83% of Indian business leaders believe they have fair to good understanding on the issue of climate change and a significant 48% regard it as important issue which needs to be near the top of India’s business agenda. However, there is significant gap between good intentions and action as only 21% have measured their current carbon footprint , which is one of the first steps in defining a strategy to deal with it.
