This document, written from a regional perspective, takes a critical look at the impact which climate change is already having the region's economies. In particular, it focuses on the losses incurred by increasingly frequent and severe tropical cyclones and how these events threaten the stability of the Caribbean's economically vital tourism and related service industries. It further analyses the financial burden climate change will bring to bear on the region's government while questioning how this may affect investor confidence in the long term.
