This publication highlights the SIDS’ participation in the UNFCCC as well as some of the ongoing needs and concerns that they have expressed in the course of the UNFCCC process. This report begins by explaining the precarious situation that the small island developing states (SIDS) find themselves in and proceeds to examine the individual sectors of society that stand to be most seriously impacted by climate change. It then outlines the adaptive measures proposed for implementation throughout the SIDS.
