Clean Energy Research and Deployment Initiative Assessment Report on Cleaner Coal Technology

This report supports the development of the cleaner coal segment of the Clean Energy Research and Deployment Initiative (CERDI), fostering the deployment of clean coal technology in India. It assesses the current problems with India's existing coal power plants, including inefficiency and higher carbon intensity, as well as a summary of United States-India collaboration on coal power technology. It contains a set of recommendations for the partnership to most effectively implement clean coal technology in India.
