The U.S. Congressional Research Service (CRS) investigated the feasibility of the transportation portion of carbon capture and sequestration (CCS) activities. To date, much of the research into CCS has focused on the feasibility of the actual capture and sequestration, but not much research has focused on the transportation of the emissions. This report evaluates the key issues pertaining to transporting carbon dioxide via pipelines.
