Bridging the Divide Between Poverty Reduction and Climate Change Through Sustainable and Innovative Energy Technologies: Scaling Up Sustainable Energy Innovations that Can Address Climate Change Concerns and Poverty Reduction Needs

This report argues that global negotiations related to global climate change and poverty reduction have not been consistently linked at the thematic or programmatic level. According to the report, missing from global negotiations are global efforts to design, finance and implement programmatic and policy initiatives that link needs-based and context-specific mitigation and adaptation efforts in developing countries with broader development goals, including poverty reduction. The report focuses on select examples and applications with the potential for broad applicability in varied settings.
